OUR MISSION

Our mission is to improve the foster care system, beginning at a state level and eventually growing to the national stage. Haven’s Hope is an advocate for foster children and foster families. Our mission is to recognize problems, shortcomings, and failures in the system and to develop mitigation strategies on behalf of children and foster homes.

The first major issue in the foster care system we are working to change is that feelings on the foster care system are widely negative and yet, not many have a true understanding of the system. We are working to educate the public on the structure of the system. Our first goal in educating the populace is to increase the number of available foster homes. Currently, in Texas, there are over fifteen thousand children in the state’s care. Thousands of these children do not have an available foster home and are living in homeless shelters and group homes. By involving more of the public, we can work to improve the quality of these, and all future foster children’s lives.
